How do i become a fireman,?
Being a veteran can help you become a firefighter or a police officer. Veterans get extra points on civil service tests. Also, some people simply prefer to hire veterans whenever they get the chance. If you want to become a firefighter, consider fire science, emergency management, and public administration as a major. If you want to become a police officer, consider accounting, computer science/information systems, communications, English, forensic science, law, or psychology. Get at least a 4 year degree. Try to get the highest grade point average that you can. Maintain a good reputation. Find out if you can do an internship or volunteer with a fire or police department. Become as physically fit as you can. Best of luck!
