My audio players don't recognize .wav files bounced from Pro Tools?

Everytime I bounce a file down to .wav form and try to play it in Windows Media Player, I get an error. I can play the file through quicktime, but I cant burn it. Ive tried 3 other burning software programs and all are giving me problems reaind Pro Tools .wav files
