BOY TROUBLE!!! ...HELP ME!!?

ok , so i have this guy friend and people have said little comments like oh he likes you and oh you like him ,or you should go out but i always came back and said , were just friends and its not like there just sayin it to me and hes completely clueless they have said it to him too. and he said the same thing but now were startin to get a little closer, like before we used to talk at school and stuff and he never went on msn but now hes startin to go on more and were talkin more and we talked on the phone for the first time last night , he was at his friends house and like after that on thecomputer we were talkin bout how ppl were always sayin we like eachother and stuff and he was like so do you and i was like umm were just friends and he was like good and lets keep it that way and i was like okay and than later he was goin on sayin i like talkin to you and like your cool and all that stuff then he was like ill call you tmro and then i had to go to bed cuz it was 3:30 in the morning ;p and then today my friend told me that he told her he said i love you to my the night befor and im confused cuz she lies sometime and i dont know what to do!! HELP PLEASE!!!
